THE SFC: A COMMITMENT TO LEADERSHIP

The Super Football Conference must leverage its size and its membership to enhance the growth and development of its student athletes and create a platform that can educate, inspire, and motivate coaches, parents, fans and football players on conference, state, and national level. We would like to become the first high school sports conference in the country that has created a brand and a model that will positively promote its member schools and the game football.

Below are some ideas and objectives that we believe can be the cornerstone of our foundation...

EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT

  • Leveraging the conference and football to improve student performance
  • Promoting and celebrating academic excellence
  • Developing professional programs and opportunities for coaches

PARENTAL EDUCATION PROGRAMS

  • Health, Wellness, and Safety
  • College Recruiting
  • Equipment and field education

REVENUE AND PROFIT SHARING

(INVESTING IN THE CONFERENCE AND ITS MEMBERSHIP)

Using the conference's size and top-tier programs to develop:

  • Advertising and marketing partnerships
  • Corporate sponsorship
  • Conference exclusive sponsors deals
  • Broadcasting and streaming opportunities
  • Co-operative buying programs exclusive to THE SFC including but not limited to:
    Player Equipment
    Uniforms
    Fields and Facilities
    Field Equipment

ABOUT OUR NAME

In the October 2017 general membership meeting of the NJSFC, the country's largest conference approved an operational name change. Moving forward, the North Jersey Super Football Conference will operate as The SFC. As an 5013c nonprofit, it cannot formally abandon the North Jersey Super Football Conference name. However, the league administration felt the shorter, more recognizable acronym, would be more marketable.

"The North Jersey Super Football Conference is definitely a mouthful," stated Joe Piro, Nutley Director of Athletics and President of The SFC. "Now that we have worked through the first scheduling cycle we can start to focus on some of our goals, which include a comprehensive marketing and branding plan. The name switch is going to lend itself to our goals moving forward."

John Fraraccio, Memorial High School Director of Athletics and chairman of The SFC Steering Committee, believes the switch is essential to the conference's success. "We have big plans that focus around building a brand, as well as developing education, awareness, and professional development programs. We are the largest conference in the country and we want to be the most recognizable." stated an enthusiastic but focused Fraraccio.
